Vehicle Description
This is an exceptionally rare town car limousine with custom coachwork by Brewster Company of New York. With an open chauffeur's compartment, it's equipped with sliding division window, dual side-mounted spare tires and rear-mounted trunk. It features a 248ci engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. The Special was purchased from Buick in chassis form and sent to Brewster Company to complete a body built to order. Brewster and Company of Long Island City, NY, was one of the largest and best-known coachbuilders in America. It was also one of Brewster's last cars, completed just before the company was liquidated. From the Tammy Allen Collection.
