- Dave Berghoefer, a vintage auto restorer and consultant in Amelia Island, Florida re-commissioned and serviced this motorcycle for the present owner with the following result:
- Appears to have been professionally restored with attention to detail without over-restoring
- Looks as if it were a well kept original of decades past
- Excellent mechanical condition
- After adding fuel and oil and pre-lubing the engine, it started up and ran well, showing oil flow almost immediately - Clutch and controls working as they should
- Test driven - Power is good, braking good, etc.
- Misc. documents included: letter from HRD owner's club, old tax discs, repair receipts from the UK, MoT test certificate etc.
