Vehicle Description
This 1949 MG TC, #TC/EXU/1619, engine #XPAG/8208, has undergone a comprehensive restoration and is finished in its original Clipper Blue with beige trim. According to the consignor, this vehicle, driven only 334 miles since restoration as indicated on the odometer, starts easily and runs and drives exceptionally well. Built for export to the U.S. market, this car has all of the EXU equipment including bumpers, turn signals, sealed beam headlamps, under-bonnet horns and high-mount tail lamps. During restoration, the steering box was replaced with a modified Datsun unit done by an Australian gentleman some years ago. The hood is in good condition and was not replaced during the restoration. The Dunlop tires and tan canvas show very little wear, although both exhibit minor weather cracking. The Clipper Blue paint and re-trim job are excellent, and the doors and side panels all fit exceptionally well. Vehicle is sold with a title.
