In 1965 Ford introduced the third generation Galaxie. The car’s new design featured vertically stacked headlights, upgraded suspension and an overall design that was larger than the outgoing model. The car was offered in three trim levels - 500, 500 XL and 500 LTD.
This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible is presented in turquoise metallic with chrome accents and a white convertible top. The car rides on thin whitewall tires. The Galaxie 500 is powered by a crate 428-cid V-8 engine which features Holley carburation, Edelbrock heads and Cobra Le Mans valve covers. The engine is paired to a three-speed automatic transmission. Power steering is the only power equipment on the vehicle. The interior is completed in turquoise and is tailored with a radio. The car has a great color combination and is described as having a very stock appearance, with the acceptation of the crate engine. In 1965 Ford produced 31,930 examples of the 500 convertible.
