Up for sale we have a 1969 Chevy Camaro SS X55. This is a true Super Sport car with the X55 cowl tag. It has undergone a restoration and been painted in the LeMans blue. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Camaro. When you walk around it and look down the sides you'll see great panel fit with a laser straight body. Also, the fit of the bumpers and trim is very good. It has the SS hood and rear spoiler. This '69 is painted in the LeMans Blue that's accented by the Black Hockey Stripe. The paint has a deep rich shine and looks good in the jams and in the trunk. All the glass looks very good with the windshield appearing to have been replaced. All the roof rail seals along with the door and trunk weather stripping were replaced. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 14x7 SS Wheels with the caps, rings, and a new set of BF Goodrich Tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '69. On the inside it's done in black which complements the exterior perfectly. It has the correct bucket seats and console with the Horse Shoe Shifter. You'll notice it has the deluxe door panels and the SS Steering wheel. Also, when you look at the dash it's all correct with the woodgrain to complement the console. This Camaro has the factory style seat belts and AM Radio.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by a 400 Small block with a Four Barrel Carb. Everything looks stock with the exception of aluminum valve covers and chrome breather. The exhaust flows thru manifolds and dual exhaust. The trans is a 350 Turbo that's hooked to the 12 Bolt Rear End. This SS has Power Steering and Power Brakes with Disc up front. At the time of the resto they installed new front sub frame bushings. The front sub frame looks good as does the floor pans that appear to be factory.
