Up for sale we have a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback. This car is done in the factory color scheme. It was a 289 car that has since been changed to a 302. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Ford, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Mustang. When you look down the sides it's straight as an arrow with great fit of the panels. Everything is covered in the Raven Black that is accented by the Dark Red Stripe down low. The paint on it is super slick with a deep rich shine. At the time of the resto the glass was removed and new seals were installed along with new weather stripping all around. The bumpers were replaced along with other chrome. All the window trim was either polished or replaced. This Ford is fitted with the grill mounted driving lights. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of Chrome American Racing Wheels.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Fastback. On the inside it's also done in the factory color scheme. It has the dark red vinyl with the bucket seats and console with a Hurst Shifter. Being a fastback it has the fold down back seat. When you look at the dash you'll see the instruments have been upgraded to a set of white face with a digital odometer. Also, it has a wood Cobra Steering wheel and a new vintage pony radio.
Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood it comes with a 302 V8 that's dressed with an Aluminum intake and Holley Carb. The valve covers and breather are Aluminum Black Ford Motor Sports style. It has a dual exhaust with new with stainless mufflers that runs thru stock style manifolds. The trans is a top loader four speed that's mated to the 9" Rear End with a 320 Posi Gear. The brakes are standard four-wheel drum with Power Steering. When you look under it the floor pans are painted in the red oxide. The brake and fuel lines appear to have been replaced along with the fuel tank.
