The reality is this just isn’t true. When you ask the seller to provide restoration receipts and photos they just don’t exist. Unfortunately, most vintage Porsches have just been cleaned up to sell. An example would be the exterior was given quick paint job, a few items in the interior were replaced, the engines were resealed but not rebuilt and the undercarriages were painted with undercoating to hide imperfections. Many of these vintage Porsches don’t retain the original engine or transmission. So please make sure your comparing apples to apples with this car listed below. *** You’re about to witness a spectacular 1970 Porsche 911T Karmann Coupe that is a fully documented rotisserie restoration with only test miles since completion. As the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity indicates this car retains the original engine and transmission. It also has some very nice upgrades that improve upon the comfortability and drivability. Listed below is very detailed information about this great opportunity. As the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity indicates this car was born a 1970 Porsche 911T Karmann Coupe that was built as follows: • Exterior paint color: Burgundy/24 • Interior material color: Black Leatherette/11 • Engine number: 6107231 (matching numbers) • Transmission number: 7105363 (matching numbers) • Optional Equipment: US Equipment, Antenna left w/ loudspeaker, noise suspension, comfort equipment and chrome whole disk wheels 5.5J x 15. As the original Porsche Maintenance Record Book indicates this car was sold new at Ted Williams Porsche located in Pittsburg, PA. It was sold to J.W. Degarmo from Poland, OH on July 24th, 1970 with 6 miles on the odometer. It also indicates the first service was done August 17th, 1970 at 981 miles and the last recorded service was September 9th, 1974 with 47,351 miles. The story with this car is as follows. I purchased it from a gentleman who purchased the car on April 25th, 2011. It was in very nice condition when he purchased it as a photo documents below. Like with most vintage Porsches it needed to be restored. He figured prior to a restoration he enjoy it for a few years. In 2011 he some minor mechanical work done and replaced the fuel tank. In 2012, he decided to have the entire engine rebuilt along with the clutch, new left and right drive shafts, new hydraulic chain tensioners, new oil tank and installed SSI stainless steel heat exchangers. This work was completed by well-known Porsche expert John Raysich located in Bridgeville, PA. He invested a total of $24,387.55 with John which is fully documented with receipts. In early 2013, he decided to have the entire transmission rebuilt. This work was completed by well-known Porsche experts Renn Works of Raleigh located in Raleigh, NC. He invested a total of $2,496.52 which is fully documented with receipts. This gentleman decided rather than do what most people do and give it a quick fluff and buff he’d do it right. In mid-2013, he decided to do a rotisserie restoration including restoring or replacing everything that wasn’t already replaced. This work was completed by well-known European Performance Cary/ Autobody located in Durham, NC. He invested a total of $61,000.00 which is fully documented with photos and receipts. Between the investments listed above, miscellaneous items and the items invested by MS CLASSIC CARS the documented total amount was $96,213.35! This price doesn’t include the original purchase price of the car. Listed below is a breakdown of the individual investments. Since the engine and transmission rebuild he drove the car roughly 2000 miles. Since the body off restoration he drove the car roughly 500 miles. • John Raysich - $24,387.55. Parts/Labor. Once again, the documented total amount invested was $96,213.35 not including the original price of the car! The exterior of the car is absolutely stunning! As the restoration receipts and photos below indicate this car was a rotisserie restoration that was stripped to bare metal. From the information I’ve gathered the car was very solid prior to the restoration. It retains most the original sheet metal. Some areas that required body work was a section in the floors, one rocker pan and door skins. They did an amazing job making the body extremely straight with great panel fitment throughout. The hood, doors and deck lid open and close very nicely. Everything was taken off the body including the glass prior to painting. The gentleman who owned the car decided to paint the car Tangerine Orange rather then its original color of Burgundy. Tangerine Orange is very desirable and really makes a statement on a vintage Porsche. The paint on this car is ocean deep and show quality. It’s much nicer than average vintage Porsche paint job. The paint is virtually flawless and one of the best paint jobs on a vintage Porsche I’ve ever seen. The front half of the hood has a clear material named Auto Bond that protects it from road chips. This is very unnoticeable and can be removed with no issues. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced. Some of the items include the stainless window trim, emblems, wipers, door handles, bumpers, moldings, bezels, lights, rubbers, etc. The glass in
