Vehicle Description
We are pleased to present this highly correct, very recently restored 1949 Dodge B-1B Pilothouse Pickup. It is finished in basecoat, clearcoat in a vibrant Victory Red color matched with a yummy saddle and doe interior. All gauges are restored and calibrated as new.
The truck has been in the same family for 37 years and has just completed a 3 ½ year restoration June 2014. The body and bed were removed from the frame, completely dismantled, and the body, bed and frame were media-stripped to bare metal. Every part was rebuilt, replaced or restored!
The frame is powder coated in satin black and the running boards and bumpers are LIC Gloss. The bed is marine varnished ash wood with polished stainless steel bed strips and bolts.
Under the hood it has a 218 cubic inch Flat Head 6 cylinder engine that is mated to a 4 speed manual transmission and a 4:11 rear end.
The truck was restored to an exceptionally high-quality standard but kept as original except These items were added:
Front Disk Brakes
Seat Belts
Turn Signals
Parking lights
Factory Original Wheels
Dynamat Sound Proofing in Cab and Doors
This truck is ready to win top honors in any car show and would be a beautiful addition to many collecitons.
