Vehicle Description
1975 Super Beetle with a 1974 Karmann Ghia engine. The car is in fair condition mechanically and visually. Mechanically, the car runs and drives well. The engine runs very reliably. It had a proper tune-up within the last three months, which consisted of a new fuel filter, new ignition coil, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap/rotor/points, valve and timing adjustment as well as a new carburetor. Perhaps most importantly, the crucial rubber heat gasket between the body of the car and the engine has been replaced. This keeps exhaust heat out of the engine bay and prevents overheating and loss of power. The transmission shifts smoothly and isn't noisy. Because the engine is not the original fuel injected system, a number of wires have been cut and left in places that no longer serve a purpose. They seem to be disconnected and merely a cosmetic issue. The exterior was painted its present color by a previous owner. It was originally a green color. As expected with an older paint job, it has its dings and scratches. However the floor pans are solid. The interior is the original and is worn. The car originally had a sunroof but that has been eliminated. As a result, the headliner was expertly installed and is in excellent shape. New brakes installed all around with new drums on the front. The car will eventually need its front struts replaced.
