1981 marked the first time the 512BB was produced with a Bosch
K-Jetronic fuel-injection system over the more traditional Weber
carbureted models. The aptly renamed 512BBi Ferrari was seen by
many as a more drivable and reliable model compared to its
predecessors. Minor yet noticeable styling changes occurred as
well. Driving lights were integrated into a shortened egg-crate
grill, while the rear of the vehicle saw the addition of
rectangular parking lights matched with a re-designed exhaust
shroud. With its 340 horsepower flat 12-cylinder fuel-injected
engine, the 512BBi has quickly become one of the most sought after
Ferrari’s of the 1980’s.
This example is finished in classic and desirable Rosso Corsa Red
and has an impeccably-kept light tan leather interior with Daytona
Red trim. It has been meticulously maintained and is one of the
finest examples we have seen in years. A complete engine out
service was performed by Ferrari in Spring of 2015 which is
documented with over $16,000.00 in receipts along with photos
detailing the process. Services performed at this time included
installing a new clutch, timing belts & tensioners, fuel lines,
waterlines, new tires, a water pump rebuild, and an alignment. This
512BBi is a multi-show winner and was last shown in 2015 at the
Ferrari Club of America National Meet where it scored 93/100. We
