2000 Dodge Viper GT-S Custom
This is basically an incredibly well put together race car that
just happens to be street legal too. It has been heavily modified
in the past two years and set to mainly GTS-R standards from top to
bottom.
The body is near perfect with a show-winning two tone paint job
that literally has won that category in almost every one it has
entered. The previous owner had the car for the past 12 years and
did most of the main modifications in the past 24 months. The car
only has a hair over 39,000 miles and has never been in any type of
an accident. It came stock from the factory with 500 horse power
and 500 ft of torque but....that wasn't enough.
The engine has been electronically re-programmed and tuned with new
700mm throttle intakes, 650cfm fuel injectors, cold air intake
system and direct RAM K&N filters. A short throw shift kit was
added to the already ample stock 6-speed transmission. The exhaust
flows out through a custom Borla system with stainless steel all
the way to the tips. The car has been lowered one full inch to
GTS-R configuration on Dodge 18? wheels and struts with 335/50ZR/18
Michelin Pilot Sports in the rear and 275/55ZR/18's in the front.
There is ample stopping power with massive 4-wheel EBS brakes with
housing painted to match the car.
An Autoform single piece, fiberglass GTS-R rear wing was added
prior to applying the custom paint, as were the rally light covers.
Autoform is the company that helped develop new parts and
configurations for the next generations of Vipers.
New GTS-R Viper badging was added throughout the interior along
with a custom stereo system featuring an AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth Kenwood
deck, 1100 watt amplifier, 2 10? sub-woofers and Infinity
speakers.
The car was recently put on the dyno and came out with 610
horsepower. Having stated that, this Viper is extremely driveable
but the power is just a slight press of the accelerator away should
you require it. The whole car is tight as a drum and drives like it
is brand new.
