Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this beautifully restored '66 Pontiac GTO Convertible. This car is out of San Bernardino, California where is spent much of its time. Just over $5,000 was recently spent in upholstery and trim work. The paint and body are in beautiful condition, finished in correct Montero Red. The exterior presents a quality finish of the correct for this GTO Montero Red. The body panels align correctly and the paint has an excellent shine throughout. The body is very straight. Any paint imperfections on closer inspection are minor. There are a select few paint chip touch-ups. Please look through our detailed photos. This is a quality car.
Under hood is the correct "YS" 389 factory rated at 335 horsepower. The engine compartment is detailed exceptionally well. You can see the extent of the restoration. The engine and transmission were removed and reconditioned. This car has been well cared for since its restoration work. Factory options include air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes. Also, the original VIN plate is intact and legible. The sheetmetal throughout the core support, inner fenders, and firewall is in excellent condition as is the hood. The hood underside insulation has been replaced.
