Is this a sweet little “Shoebox” Ford, or what? The wise choice of Battleship Gray paint really looks outstanding on this coupe. The paint shines very nicely, and with the red steel wheels, and excellent chrome and bright work surrounding this car, and with the rake to the profile, it really makes a hot-rod statement for certain! Light the 302 off with a quick twist of the key and it immediately comes to life and idles perfectly, creating a nice tone through the dual exhaust. Steering is pretty light for a manual steering car, but with a rebuilt suspension, and that ultra cool big steering wheel, I'm not surprised. The car pulls down to a stop effortlessly with power front disc brakes and the ride is nice and smooth, and comfortable.

The A/C works great and just adds a nice bonus to the comfort level of this Club Coupe. In addition to the rebuilt engine, the transmission is a very smooth shifting T-5 with overdrive. So, no excuses for not taking some long road trips. The undercarriage, although not detailed, is clean, dry and solid. This car has been very well maintained and cared for by its current owner whom has owned it for the last 10 years. This is a great car to drive anywhere, whether to a car show or a road trip, and if you happen to get stuck in traffic in the summer heat, you really wont care 'cuz that cold air conditioning will keep you comfortable. So, just a quick recap: Classic 1949 “Shoebox” Ford coupe, nice paint, nice interior, nice drive train, nice air conditioning, comfortable to ride in and solid. A fun car to drive! Did I forget anything? Oh yeah!...YOU!
