PRICE JUST REDUCED 1972 Chevy Cheyenne: A Spectacular Restoration/Modernization This 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10 is the nicest we have seen, literally from top to bottom. With just --- miles since its total frame-off restoration, this pickup is nicer than new: • Great paint; • Perfect interior; • An undercarriage that looks brand new; • Short bed with new oak bed; • A rebuilt 350/450 hp V-8 engine 4bbl; • Turbo 400 automatic transmission; • Limited slip rear; • Power steering • 4-wheel power disc brakes; • New wooden bed, and • More! This is a must see C10! They don’t get any Nicer! • Paint and Chrome The first thing that jumps out about this Cheyenne Super short bed is the quality of its Champion Yellow paint done by Franks Body Shop in Mt. Airy, NC—regarded by some as the best in the business. After every nut, bolt and panel was media blasted, they primed the parts with 8 coats of DuPont Chroma base and 4 coats of clear before it was wet-sanded and buffed. To say that it is “showroom fresh” is an understatement because the paint work is of national show quality standards. The bed of the Cheyenne is new and was made of oak. The bed was sanded and cleared 5 times to give it a deep finished look. It is protected by a special custom-fit carpet bed liner that is easily removed exposing the oak floor. The chrome is in excellent condition with all of the trim either replaced or redone. All of the windows are perfect and both driver’s and passenger windows operate correctly. As would be expected with such a high-quality restoration, the body and underside of the pickup are free of any rust issues and both show like a brand new truck (see pictures). • Interior The new Black interior upholstery is in perfect condition, and makes an excellent contrast with the Yellow exterior. The front bucket Recaro-like seats are virtually new, as are the door panels. The custom-built dash is in excellent condition and sports a full complement of Pro Comp Ultra Lite gauges. All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges (temperature, amp, fuel and oil pressure) work properly. Similarly, the tach and speedometer work, as does all of the safety equipment (lights, wipers, horn, RJS seat belts, etc.). • Engine The truck’s 350 bowtie block was built by Automotive Specialists (Keith and Jeff Dorton), Concord, NC who are known worldwide for their dependable race engines. The engine was bored 0.030”, with Mahle Flat Top pistons, Crane rollers and lifters, a Crane cam, 6.000 Arrow Rods, World Product Heads, a Street/Strip intake and a 4150 Holly 670 CFM Street Avenger carburetor. This 350 cid engine dyno’s at 450 hp and 450 ft. lbs. of torque. The engine starts right up and runs properly, providing all the thrill that a high performance engine offers. • Transmission This Cheyenne has a Turbo 400 with a B7M 3000 rpm torque converter, providing quick but sure shifts and is beefy enough to handle the engine’s increased torque. • Suspension The front suspension has drop spindles, drop springs, Nitro shocks, tubular A arms & front end, with oversize tie rods. There are anti-sway bars front and rear. The steering is by C.J.R. Race Steering. • Rear End/Brakes/Wheels The rear end was built by former NASCAR driver Larry Pollard. It is a 12-bolt Detroit Locker with GM ring and pinion that does an excellent job of handling the engine’s torque. This pickup has power 4-wheel disc brakes that bring it to a straight stop that rivals the stopping power of modern trucks. The wheels are Foose one-piece Legends. • Comfort Features The Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Video Stereo radio works is a recent model that works properly and has a remote feature. Power steering and power brakes help turn this high-performance pickup into a vehicle that any enthusiast will enjoy.
