Up for sale we have a 1972 Pontiac GTO Resto Mod. It has under gone a full restoration with many upgrades from the custom interior to the LS2, Six Speed, and Currie 9" with 4 Link. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Pontiac, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the '72. The body is laser straight with great fit of the hood, doors, and trunk. It was blocked and sanded and checked for fit before paint. Everything is covered in the Orbit Orange Base Coat that was cleared and polished to a mirror finish before the GTO Decals were installed. The glass was installed with new seals and the side glass has all new window felts. All the weather stripping as well as all the window trim looks very good. It has had a new rear bumper and door handles installed. Also, it has the rear wing along with the dual sport mirrors, hood mounted tach, and ram air hood. To complete the look, it's sitting on a set of BF Goodrich White Letters tires and factory 15" Rally Wheels.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the GTO. On the inside it's all done in a custom Tan Leather with the correct bucket seats and rear seat. It has a mini console built with a black boot for the Six Speed Trans. The head rests and back seats have custom stitching done in the them. You'll see this '72 comes with Tilt column and Wood wheel. Also the vintage A/C controls are in the factory location. To keep a clean look the Radio is in the dash with the Disc Changer in the trunk.
Finally, we will look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the hood you'll love the detail with the firewall being slicked down and painted body color. The engine is a 6.0 LS2 with 400 HP and has been detailed to compliment the color scheme. It's mated to a Tremec Six Speed Manual Trans and a Currie 9" with a Posi Trac 4Link and Coil Overs. The sound is provided by the headers and dual Pypes Street Pro Mufflers. This GTO comes with a large Aluminum Radiator to keep it cool. Also it has Power Steering and Four Wheel Power Disc Brakes. The vintage AC is tucked nice with the lines done very neat as well. All the floors pans look very good with new brakes lines, fuel lines, and a new fuel tank at the time of resto.
