Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle was restored in 2010 and has been
driven just 1,500 since completion. Following the restoration, the
Chevelle was a Senior 1st Prize winner with the AACA for 2010. The
Chevelle was a Monaco Orange car from the factory, a color which
was only offered by Chevrolet as an option on SS cars. During the
restoration, the color was changed to Daytona yellow.
The car features a two stage paint job that has been color sanded
to a nicer than factory finish. The body has excellent door, hood,
and trunk gaps with straight metal work throughout. The interior
has been restored where needed and is a mix of new and good
condition original parts. The Chevelle features the optional gauge
package, console with staple shifter, and correct GM seat belts.

The engine is a 1971 402 big block out of a Chevelle and the
transmission is a Turbo Hydramatic 400. The engine utilizes factory
exhaust manifolds and a new aluminized dual exhaust system. It
produces a mellow factory tone at idle, and a nice growl under full
acceleration. It also falls into a nice idle upon start up and runs
cool after extended use.
The suspension on the car features new ball joints, tie rods,
shocks and sway bar bushings which produce a factory type ride and
feel. Overall the car is easy to drive, and would make a fine car
to drive to shows and to local cruise nights. For the collector
seeking a true SS, this highly optioned, award winning Chevelle is
a great candidate.
