Vehicle Description
Purchased new from Smith Motor Sales in Haverhill, Massachusetts, this 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL is a one-family car, left to the current owner by his father, who was the original buyer. At the time, the family felt the Mercedes was the perfect fit for their lives: it handled well in the snow and could easily fit a set of golf clubs in the back. This W113 Pagoda model features a rare 4-speed manual transmission and the optional hard top. This classic Mercedes-Benz has been primarily a summer driving car and has lived most of its life in a protected garage.
The car is largely unmodified with its original paint and interior. The top end of the motor was rebuilt approximately 5,000 miles ago, and the motor mounts, transmission mounts, and sub-frame mounts were replaced, as well. More recently, the vehicle received new shocks, tires, and a water pump. Vehicle sold with a title and current registration
