For Sale: 1961 Chevrolet Corvette in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

Although still considered part of the first generation, by 1961 the Corvette appeared drastically different from when it first debuted 8 years prior. The front end retained the twin headlights from the previous year, but gone were the teeth in the grille. 1961 also marked the first year of the four round taillights in the back, a Corvette trademark that would last up through the C6 generation. Cosmetics were not the only thing different: the standard generator was replaced with an alternator for the first time.

This particular example is an all-original, unrestored survivor, finished in its original white with silver coves, contrasted with a stunning black interior. It’s equipped with its original 283/230hp V8 and a rare automatic transmission. The car has been well cared for and maintained all its life, complete with owner history from day one and plenty of maintenance records. It was sold new in New Jersey, then registered in Florida in 1963, where it spent the majority of his life.

The car comes with a binder filled with copies of titles & registrations from previous owners and maintenance receipts that meticulously detail the cars history
