For Sale: 1999 Jeep Wrangler in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

The guys at Jeep are better than most at listening to their customers, and this 1999 Jeep Wrangler is evidence. It retains all the usual Jeep ruggedness, 4x4 drivetrain, the classic squared-off bodywork, and even round headlights. But this low mileage, numbers-matching modern classic also includes a very civilized powertrain, plenty of creature comforts, and even A/C. So on or off road, this is the tool of choice.

While all Wranglers are "Trail Rated," this one looks like it's had a pretty easy life on the street and not bashing around in the rough. The original Stone White provides a great contrast to the black bumpers, wide fender flares, trim, rear-mounted spare tire, and roof (or roll bars depending how you are motoring that day.) Its also tied together nicely with a black pinstripe package. All that's in addition to the Wrangler's classic good looks that still echo with tradition. Steel doors with both the soft top and removable hardtop make it usable year-round regardless of where you live.

Forget crude interiors, this Jeep is comfortable enough to drive every day. The stylish multi-tone upholstery is in great condition, probably due to its unique fabric that's designed for the outdoors and wears like granite. Civilization arrived in the Jeep in the form of dual airbags, cruise control, cup holders, and a full array of legible instruments in a squared-off instrument panel. The stereo has been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD unit from Kenwood. Oh, and you even get the comfort of ice-cold modern R134a air conditioning to keep you comfortable no matter what combo of top and doors you choose to have on (or none at all!) A full roll cage has been part of the Jeep spec sheet for decades, and its reassuring presence off-road is very welcomed.

The 4.0-liter inline-six was a Jeep mainstay for many years. It's quite energetic in the relatively lightweight Wrangler and its reliability can't be beat. Fuel injection and other advances mean that it starts easily and idles well, and doesn't ever complain about slogging through the rough stuff in low range. Of course it also doesn't hurt that this one has only averaged around 3,200 miles annually. The five-speed manual transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes gives you complete control on the streets or trail. You can tell by its condition that this Jeep has led a nice life, and the lack of modifications means it was not beaten around as an off-road toy. In fact, the only aftermarket upgrade you'll see are the cool-looking MB Motorsport wheels with expensive Michelin LTX M/T tires.

Complete with owner's manual, maintenance receipts, and original window sticker, this is a two-owner Wrangler that is a cut-above 4x4. It's an affordable package that can keep you smiling on AND off the road in any weather. Call today!!!
