I have decided to offer this very fine 1962 Corvette out of my own stable. I have no other reason to offer it other than I am looking for other cars and only have so much room. Original first generation Corvettes to this degree are getting harder and harder to find. This example has had a very sheltered life and survived much better than the vast majority. It is a complete numbers matching example that has almost all of its original components. All of these original date coded components are themselves becoming worth a fortune. For example, even the radiator is the original date coded. It is a two top car and both the hard top and car have all the original glass which is a rare occurrence these days. The soft top is a new correct white top with good fit. The car is restored maintaining its originality. It is repainted in the correct factory Honduras Maroon with black interior. The engine is the original 327/300hp but was rebuilt with the famed Duntov cam giving it over 350 hp making it run very strong, and there are less then 500 miles on the rebuild. It breathes through a new set of MagnaFlo mufflers. The four speed shifts smooth and strong and likewise is original. Even the wheels are original, and the car rides on correct reproduction Firestone bias ply tires. All the gauges work including the tachometer, and the original tube Wonderbar radio is in proper working order as well. This car is a real joy to drive and runs and drives very well unlike many of the cars of this era that have received excessive wear and tear over the years. The bright work is very good with most of the emblems being replaced with correct parts to go along with the fresh paint, but the bumpers are the original GM issue and are in wonderful shape. This car is a great candidate to take for NCRS certification due to its originality. Call or come by for more information. These great original first generation Corvettes don’t last long, and we receive inquiries from all over the world looking for them!! It is a true investment grade Corvette that you can drive and enjoy while it continues to appreciate. Originally offered at $84,900. Offered now for $74,900.
