Vehicle Description
1969 JAGUAR XKE SERIES II COUPE. Chassis #1R25487; Engine #7R3-53- 9. Stock #3781. The XKE Jaguar is generally acknowledged to be one of the sexiest-looking sports cars of all time. Ours is an early Series II car, still maintaining a 9:1 compression engine. To meet U.S emission and safety standards, changes to the Series I cars were gradually introduced starting in 1968. For example, engine compression was later lowered to 8:1 but positive changes also were introduced-- headrests became mandatory, there were improvements to the braking system, etc. Ours is a car which we have known since we opened our showroom 43 years ago when its original (and only) owner (and driver) started servicing the car with us. Finished in original Willow Green with biscuit leather and 15” chrome wire wheels, the car is in fabulous condition and drives as great as it looks. Its most fastidious owner purchased the car on May 22, 1969 from our local Jaguar dealer at a cost of $5,371.09 and maintained it beautifully over the next 47 years. All service records are present as are all original manuals in their original sleeve, the original window sticker and order sheet, all original tools, showroom brochures, factory shop manual, a custom car cover, etc. Willow Green with Biscuit leather and original 15” chrome wire wheels. Just fully serviced! 83,138 miles. $75,000.
