The GM A-body platform produced many of the popular muscle car era names including the Pontiac GTO, Chevelle SS, Buick Grand Sport, and Oldsmobile 442. The Chevelle SS was Chevrolet's entry in to the muscle car market. The rounded styling and flowing roofline of the 2nd generation Chevelle make these classics popular collector cars as survivors, fresh restorations, recreations and modified pro-street racers. When people think about muscle cars, the Chevelle lineup produced from 1968-72 are often the first that come to mind. They are as equally desirable today as they were when introduced.
