We are pleased to present this 1972 International Scout 4x4 for purchase. International Harvester developed the Scout in the early 60's as a precursor of more sophisticated SUV's to come. The only other American 4-wheel drive recreational vehicles offered at the time were Jeeps. The Scouts became known for their ability to go anywhere and have high durability. They are a key part of automotive history being considered the first SUV.
The 1972 International Scout offered here is powered by International's bulletproof inline 6-cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission and 4 wheel drive Hi and Low capabilities. Highlights include front bench seat, power brakes, rear mounted spare, steel rear bumper, brush bar, tow hooks, and Jensen stereo.
This Scout stands very proud on its 2 inch suspension lift with polished aluminum wheels fitted with meaty tires. This scout runs and drives great and with its fully removable hard top it is great summer ride that is perfect for the beach and to keep at your seasonal home.
