The car was based on the popular mid-Boxster chassis and initially marketed as an entry level sports coupe for the brand. The Cayman quickly raised some eyebrows as its mid-engine configuration demonstrated handling capabilities that rivaled any class of sports car with outstanding feel and balance. The Cayman S gets such positive reviews that some publications suggest saving the bank account and forgoing the 911 in favor of the Cayman S's abilities to perform rather similarly.
This is a very nice stock example of the Porsche road carvers. This Cayman S was delivered new to New Jersey before becoming a Michigan summer toy late in life. It's powered by the original 3.4L 6-cylinder engine paired with the very fun 6-speed manual transmission.
