For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet Corvette in Sarasota, Florida

Vehicle Description

1972 Red T-Top Corvette
Welcome to THE VETTE NET, your modern destination for buying and selling your Corvette. We are a Nationwide and International Corvette Brokerage Network, in business since 1998 and Lifetime Business Member #991 of the National Corvette Museum. Here is something interesting... Born with an LT1 engine according to the VIN, this 1972 Coupe now sports an interesting powertrain: a small block 350 GM engine, high compression, solid lifter cam, built to 1970 LT1 specs exhibiting lots of power with no hesitations. It is mated with a Turbo 350 transmission with 3000 stall torque converter, B&M QuickSilver shifter. Original clutch pedal is still present, so, at one point it can be converted back to a manual. Likely it has 4.10 rear axle. L88 hood complements the aggressive look. Wheels are 8" rallys on the front, 10" rallys on the back with mild flared rear quarter panels. 3/4 decent tires. Born Ontario Orange, it now sports the classiest Corvette color, Red, an older paintjob, still very shiny with only a few imperfections. Quality Chrome too. Interior seems to have been freshened up. Good seat covers, good carpet, nice door panels... An impressive feature is a Mallory tachometer with functional rev limiter and shift light. All gauges work including radio. Vacuum operates properly, brakes are tight. All in all, this is a fine example of a desirable last of the"Bumper" cars" with an interesting pedigree being born with an LT1 engine and a manual tranny (of course!). It is now a civilized driver, also a wolf in sheep's clothing, a racer in disguise which can certainly win you some quarter miles.
