Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a freshly restored 1968 Pontiac Firebird. This car has been frame off restored and built from the ground up to be the stylish and powerful machine you see today. This car is finished in a beautiful coat of black which shows off the straight body. The paint has been polished to a high shine and would make any owner proud. The car has an awesome stance with shorter springs on the front to give an aggressive look. A few custom touches like the polished aluminum nostrils in the hood and the aluminum fuel filler cap make this Firebird stand out in a crowd. Pop the hood and you'll find a 400 CID V8. The engine was professionally rebuilt, bored .030 over, and features an RV cam. Sitting on top is a 670 Holley and HEI Distributor. With this set up, the car has plenty of power, but can be reliably driven without constant adjustment. The braking system has been updated with disc brakes in the front as well as a new booster and master cylinder. The AC and heater system has been completely overhauled and updated with new: heater core, blower motor, compressor, evaporator, etc. The heat blows hot and the AC cold. This car received a rare paint option from the factory which is the front bench seat with folding arm rest. The front bench and rear are upholstered in black, and the interior has subtle red accents. Overall this is a car you could drive straight to your local car show and be quite proud of.
