1962 Austin-Healey Sebring Replica
Classic Roadsters LTD was a company that built high quality fiberglass replicas for AC Cobras and a few other models including the Austin Healey Sebring. These could be assembled as kits, but some were built in house by the professionals that designed them. This example is a Sebring that was assembled by the founder of the company in their plant in North Dakota. This was professionally assembled and beautifully finished. The build started with a 1978 Ford Mustang frame. To this, a fiberglass Austin Healey body is fitted which is finished in pearl white with gold stripes. Housed beneath the bonnet is a very healthy 350 CID Chevrolet V8. The 350 has been rebuilt with new cam bearings, high volume oil pump, rods, and main bearings. It has Keith Black pistons with chrome moly rings. The engine assembly has been balanced and it runs beautifully with 9 to 1 compression. The engine is nicely dressed up with chrome oil pan, valve covers, timing cover, and pulleys. Behind the small block is a TH350 transmission which runs to a limited slip rear end. This is an open top roadster, but bare boned it is not. This roadster has a full top which can make it an all weather vehicle. Not only that, but it also has Air Conditioning! Other luxuries include new leather upholstery, power brakes, tilt column, AM/FM stereo, and even a backup camera.
