All matching numbers car. Off the frame restoration 2011. Only 15 miles since restoration. Garage kept with car cover on. Some extra equipment added, some MSD parts, front disc brakes and A/C . This engine was only put in the 1969 Bosses. The Boss 302 was built for SCCA Trans Am competition. This engine was rated at 290 hp. The block differs substantially from the standard 302. It used a forged-steel crank, 4 bolt mains and screw- in core plugs for rigidity. Heavy-duty rods were similar to the 289 HiPo. Pistons were forged and were unique to allow the use of Cleveland-style heads with canted valves. Intake valves are a whopping 2.23" in the 1969 only, larger than most big blocks.
