This 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1946 was the year that things would start getting back to normal. We had been at war for 5 years with all manufacturing efforts going to that a new car was just simply not in the plans. Now the war was over, we won, and the boys were coming home. Instead of trying to come up and retool all the machines for a new model the manufacturers decided to basically just start the line back up and get to producing vehicles. These 46's have become ultra hard to find and when done right are one of the best looking street rods around. This beauty has had an extensive amount of work done to get it to the Street rod you see before you. The body is straight and bondo free with no signs of patches anywhere. The black paint compliments and shows off the laser straight body nicely. Accented by stainless trim this is one of the cleanest rods I have seen. Flawless chrome bumpers both front and rear finish off this exterior nicely. Under the hood is a nicely chromed out small block that has had a much pampered life. The Weber carb feeds the right amount of fuel. The chrome AC unit looks great and actually works. The TH350 trans gets you moving down the road and with the 10 Bolt rear end having a 2.73 gear, cruising is what this black beauty does best. Upfront the Mustang II style front end makes steering, rather it be in parking lots or on the open road, an absolute pleasure. The powered disc brakes upfront brings this all steel 46 down to a crawl rather quickly. Open the door however and you will see a very well thought out interior. The bucket seats upfront have been covered with a black and grey leather pattern that really makes this rod standout. The back bench is covered to match and puts this interior in a class all to itself. The AC controls are tucked nicely out of the way.
