This Mercedes 280SL Roadster has a character all of its own sporting it's unique classic lines. It is presented in original Forest Green paint with matching original wheel covers. The beautiful chrome graces the vehicle in both the interior and the exterior. The car is equipped with a hardtop and a new soft top. The interior is original black in color and sports the optional kinder-bench seat. The radio is an original Becker Europa.
The 280SL is powered by a 2.8 liter, in-line 6 cylinder engine, rebuilt with 8K miles on it, and a 4-speed manual transmission. The car features power brakes and power steering, and has all new fuel injectors and a completely re-built fuel injector pump. The car frame is equipped with new assembly mounts, motor mounts, shocks and struts. The roadster was completely stripped and professionally re-painted to its original color, and is totally rust-free.
The 1971 Mercedes 280SL Roadster is a rare car as there were less than 850 made in 1971, its last year of production in this body style.
