The 1978 Porsche 911 Targa 3.6 liter conversion has been the proud
recent recipient of such an approach. The car has been meticulously
restored with an all steel wide body kit masterfully grafted and
comes to us dressed in classic, "Speed Yellow" over black leather
interior. The interior features classic sport seats, color keyed
gauge cluster, original style VDO gauges, lightweight RS door
panels, Nardi wood steering wheel, short shifter with wood knob,
perfect dash and is outstanding in presentation, quality and
appearance. The exterior features near flawless paint, 19inch BBS
wheels, new Targa top, and excellent trim. The engine bay is highly
detailed and houses a 1995 3.6 liter motor. Mechanical highlights
include: Steve Timmons DME Performance Chip, Stainless Steel Heat
Exchangers, Stainless Steel Headers Twin Plug Ignition, Performance
Air Intake, Sachs 2.5 Light Weight Clutch, Brembo Turbo Brakes,
Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hoses etc. The suspension has fully
been rebuilt with Elephant Racing bushings and ball joints, turbo
inner and outer tie rod ends, Bilstein struts and shocks, Tarrant
Racing fully adjustable sway bars, Solid torsion bars, and Rennline
strut bar.
The performance of this 911 is amazing and the presentation is
stunning. The Porsche market is red hot and 3.6 liter conversions
are widely accepted and hugely popular in the Porsche community. A
car done to this level is the best of both worlds: It delivers hair
raising excitement as well as the ability to win the Modified class
at the next Porsche Parade. One could not come close to building a
