Naturally, the car's visual testosterone is backed up with plenty of power from the engine room. In Generation I guise, this well-equipped S features a 4.8 liter V8 that twists an even 400 horsepower into 369 lb./ft. of torque. And thanks to the motor's careful tuning, that power comes on both strong and steady. Those stellar numbers add up to a jumbo-size land rocket which is capable of brisk five second 60 MPH sprints and a quarter-mile time of 13.9 seconds. The engine's substantial torque provides power throughout the RPM range, creating a very drivable car anywhere from open freeways to rush hour commutes.
