Vehicle Description
This new design began in 1963 known as the W113 SL Design. The most distinctive feature of the 230 SL was of course the concave crown of its hardtops roof nicknamed the "Pagoda" roof style. Changes for the 3rd SL body couldn't be greater; not a single part was carried forward, yet length, width, height and wheel base were all within 1 inch of the 190 SL. In 1965, 1,107 were built for USA. Powered by inline 6 cylinder mated to 4 speed transmission. Restoration of this 230 SL was completed in May 2003. This beautiful roadster was driven very few miles since its restoration. It runs and drives excellent, showing 70,624 miles believed original. Youtube video available upon request.
