1939 FORD “85” FORDOR SEDAN #184977355. (Stock # 3757.) The lovely 1939 Ford was offered with a choice of two engines--both V-8’s, one of 60 horsepower and one of 85. Ours is the 85 horsepower version with a 3-speed transmission with floor-mounted shift and has a rare all leather interior, chrome windshield surround and twin side view mirrors. It is a remarkably original car with leather showing some wear but in superb original condition, paint rubbed through in a few spots but still with wonderful luster, excellent chrome and a very nice engine bay and trunk (still with an original Ford-script tire). The car has, in fact, been awarded a “Preservation Award” by the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) and drives remarkably nicely, being able to cruise at today’s speeds. Black with saddle leather with “baseball” stitching. A very rare find! 14,416 miles. $24,500.
