1947 Ford Sedan
When we call a car a survivor we are labeling it as an unrestored classic that made it through the years with a lot of its original components and without falling apart, getting wrecked or rusting out. Well this classic 1947 Ford Super Deluxe may have received a new paint job but apart from that it is a true survivor. The all steel original body is entirely rust free and coated in a nice Maroon paint. The front grill and both bumpers have been rechromed and are in great condition. All of the stainless trim throughout is in good shape as is all of the glass. The 6 volt electrical system is all in good working condition and a 3rd brake light was added in the rear. The car has been well cared for since new which is why it is still such a solid car over 60 years after it was produced. It sits on the original style steel wheels which are fitted with beauty rings and chrome dog dish hubcaps.
Getting those wheels turning is the vintage V8 Flathead motor. The majority of the engine is painted the original Ford Blue with a Copper colored oil bath air cleaner on top. The car starts up well and cruises around with zero issues. It really is a good quality driver. Behind the motor is a 3 speed manual transmission that shifts well with zero issues.
The interior of the car is complete in Maroon and White with the old Blue/Grey paint still on the dash. The bench seats are comfortable both in front and back. The gauges, knobs, and switches on the dash are all still working properly. They are showing their age slightly but that is actually part of the beauty of this car. Only time can replicate the nostalgic feel this car has. The vintage Ford steering wheel sits proudly in front of the driver with a three on the tree shifter on the column. The trunk has plenty of room for all those car show supplies and houses the matching steel spare wheel/tire.
In addition to being a solid classic car this beauty is being offered up at a very reasonable price. Finding affordable classics for the beginner hobbyist can be a tough thing due to the popularity of these old cars so don't miss your chance on this one!
