In 1941 the Ford car got a major redesign just in time for World War II. The design was aborted in early 1942 due to civilian production having been suspended during the war and then restated in 1946. For the first few weeks of production the 47 Ford was identical to the 46 and then Ford restyled the body slightly by moving the parking lights from above the grill to below each headlight. There was also the removal of the red accents from the grill and the two small lights located just above it. This model of Ford continued very successfully until 1948 when it was replaced by the 1949 Ford which was the first all-new automobile design introduced by the Big Three auto manufacturers after World War II. Vermillion Red paint covers the body of this 1947 Ford Street Rod. Under the hood rests a completely rebuilt 351ci Cleveland Ford engine nicely equipped with a Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holly 750cfm Carburetor. A C6 Automatic Transmission paired to a 9 in Ford rear end spin the 15'' Halibrand style wheels. Inside the 47 comfort is key with 8-way power seats and air conditioning.
