Vehicle Description
1960 Ford F100, project (with power steering). We acquired this truck over a year ago, sanded, patched, and painted it ourselves in our garage. Body work is not perfect, but looks good and will last a long time. Replaced side and rear glass along with new seals all around (windshield too). Inside, we added a bench seat with integrated seat belts and some gauges (Oil, Temp, Batt, and Tach). Mechanically, truck runs great. Does not have the original Engine or Tranny, now has a 302 with AOD (Automatic OD). Original would have been 223 with 3 on tree. Cruises along smoothly at 70MPH turning about 1900RPM on the Hwy, so pretty good on gas. When we first got it on the road back in March, it ran a little rough. Diagnosed that to a piston ring issue (compression). We pulled the engine and did a complete Ring Job, as well as cleaned up valves and added a HV oil pump while it was out. It now runs smooth and has decent power (for a 2 barrel anyway). Its been a daily driver for the last 5 months. Call for more details. Note: ODO reads 83690 today, not sure if it has turned over or not. Awesome truck for cruising around.
