Have you been paying attention to first generation Camaro sales? Great cars are being snatched up for strong money and big returns almost as fast as they hit our showroom! At RK Motors Charlotte, we retail more first class Chevys than anyone in the world. And in the second half of 2015, we've already sold TEN first generation Camaros to ten very satisfied owners. Our latest offering, this Concours Silver-winning Z/28, is a numbers-matching icon that, in addition to being fully documented, has been certified by Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance. If you're a serious pony car enthusiast who's looking for a clean, correctly sorted showpiece, you're staring at your next classic!

BODYWORK/TRIM

Rolling out of a 4-year restoration in the summer of 2000, and fine-tuned in early 2004, this LeMans Blue gem is the product of A LOT of time spent sweating details. From its correct vinyl top to its NOS replacement quarters, the car's rock-solid metal displays craftsmanship that's nothing short of excellent. Not surprisingly, every seam between that metal's correct D80 spoilers has been aligned to better-than-factory fit. And ultimately, it all adds up to one super impressive F-Body that, despite being restored roughly 11 years prior, took home Concours Silver honors at the 2011 Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals.

ENGINE

Hoist the cowl induction hood and you'll find a 302 cubic inch Chevrolet small block that, according to Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance, is the car's original, numbers-matching engine. Straight from the General this exclusive package utilized high-flow, rectangular-port heads, a forged steel crank, forged steel rods and forged aluminum pistons to twist stout 11 to 1 compression into more than 350 horsepower! At the top of the dressed and detailed mill, a black, single-snorkel air cleaner swirls wind in to a correct Winters intake thanks to a familiar Holley carburetor. At the sides of that intake, authentic 'double hump' heads hang finned valve covers over shielded exhaust manifolds. At the back of those heads, a mandatory points distributor shoots spark through fresh Packard TV R Suppression cables. Naturally, the raucous V8's ancillary components are on-point, with fresh GM hoses, a tagged Delco battery and a tagged Delco Moraine brake booster accompanying a correct alternator and era-correct smog equipment. And an evenly sprayed combination of Chevy Orange skin and Satin Black framing is capped by full hood insulation.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

The ferocious powerplant twists torque through an original, MacNeish-certified Muncie, which twists an original, MacNeish-certified 12-bolt. That correctly tagged drivetrain rides a fully rebuilt and correctly tagged suspension, which centers beefy traction bars between correct, power-assisted brakes. There's a chambered exhaust system that terminates with polished tips. That system is framed by solid floors, which plant smooth Satin Black paint under vivid LeMans Blue overspray. And those floors roll on 15-inch Rallys, which spin E70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GTs around dent-free trim rings and correct turbine center caps.

INTERIOR

Open this Camaro's solid-closing doors and you'll find a correct Blue interior that wraps correct Standard trim around clean, classic style. A familiar bucket and bench seating layout features optional front headrests. In front of those seats, a '69-exclusive dash hangs a correct tachometer and optional clock between a color-keyed pad and faux wood trim. At the base of that dash, a traditional F1 console frames a factory Hurst shifter. Below that console, a quartet of floor mats protects like-new carpet. At the edges of that carpet, Standard door panels center small armrests in pristine stainless hardware. In front of the driver, a fixed steering column spins a classy Rally Wheel. And behind the passengers, a solid trunk conceals a full-size spare tire.
