"The 1955-1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria was the crowning gem of
the bright two-tone and chrome era. One of the most imaginative
cars of an imaginative decade, it took off for the heavens in looks
--It was the year of wraparound windshields, tubeless tires, flying
saucer wheel discs, and more options, vivid colors, and flashy
two-tones than a month of Canadian sunsets. Little wonder that
Ford's smart new Crown Victoria was to become a classic symbol of
the times, if not one of the year's hottest sellers. Road tester
Tom McCahill, writing in Mechanix Illustrated, called it "loaded
with more saleable angles than a shipload of Marilyn Monroes."

For sale by owner is this mostly original, classic 1955 Crown
Victoria in the always desirable green/white color combination.
This is the kind of car we love to find. An original car, a long
time owner and documentation of work done back to 1972. It was
acquired from�original owner in 2014 with some updates since then.�
Please let all the pictures load (there are over 120) to see the
great condition of this classic old Ford.� Our knowledge of what
has been done to this car is somewhat limited, this is what we do
know.� It is a combination of original, with some cosmetic and
mechanical restoration over the years as needed.� It appears the
car was repainted years ago in the original green/white color
combination. The original 272 engine and transmission have been
rebuilt and new suspension components were also installed.� The
exterior trim and chrome appear original and in great shape. The
interior seats, carpet and dash appear original with some seat
cover replacement. The undercarriage is solid, clean and dry. See
the photos at the end for the hand written notes of work done over
the years.
