History of this car dates to about 1951..restored by Jim Robinson
in 1955.There are a number of photos of the car during its rebuild
in 1955,an interesting part of the cars history. There are many
articles in old autos of this car following its history being
passed from hand to hand. Many past owners have kept in touch with
the car .I think im owner 19 or 20 .It has now a fresh coat of red
base clear coat. It's been driven as my summer car now for the last
12 years and has been lots of fun . It has a 1969 mustang 302 with
a 1967 Bronco truck oil pan ,2brl carb with c4 .with a pete and
jakes style split wishbone ft.end with a 5 inch drop superbell axil
and 1969 8 .3/4 rear end .with parallel leaf springs in rear (after
market kit). Brakes are 1956 ford drum on 40 spindles with a power
assist booster under the floor in stock location.Seats are from a
1939 convert.with custom in red and white. This car is not off the
shelf .It is more refined than a 1950s custom and still
conservative .The wiring is from a 1967 mustang 12 volts system.
New after market 1947 gas tank.
