"The 1959 Chevrolet Impala was redesigned. Sharing bodyshells with
lower-end Buicks and Oldsmobiles as well as with Pontiac, part of a
GM economy move, the Chevrolet's wheelbase 1-1/2�inches longer.
Using a new X-frame chassis, the roof line was three inches lower,
bodies were two inches wider, and curb weight increased. curb
weight. Its tailfins protruded outward, rather than upward. The
taillights were a large "teardrop" design at each side."

For sale by owner is this cool custom 1959 Chevy Impala. The owner
recently inherited this car from his uncle, so our knowledge of
what has been done is limited. The car started life in Arizona as a
standard Impala wth a V-8 engine and appears to be an older
restoration (20 years or more) with some recent mechanical
upgrades. Built to replicate the kind of car you might see cruising
the streets in the 70's, it has been lowered and has the great
looking Chevy Rally Wheels with spinners for a custom look. The
engine is a late 60's 327 Chevy small block matched with a 3-Speed
automatic transmission. It has power steering, power front disc
brakes and air conditioning. Not a trailer queen as it was built to
be driven and the side pipes are for show only. What follows are
