Older frame-off restoration that still shows very fresh!  Numbers matching 270hp engine, 4-speed, rare power windows, and both tops!  Superb looks, excellent drive characteristics, and showing just 80k miles on the odometer!  Ready to be enjoyed immediately!  Newly remodeled for 1961, the Corvette sported an entirely new look from the outside! The front end was revamped with a new argent silver grill and body-color painted headlight bezels, while the rear now included a feature to be found on all Corvettes forward; four rear tail lamps! Under the hood would be final year of the popular and robust 283ci V8, although the radiator was improved to a new aluminum crossflow design for better cooling. The exhaust now exited below the body, and wide whitewall tires would be offered for the last time! The popular appearance of the classic Corvette was going to change forever! We are offering a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible finished in Roman Red over Red Vinyl interior with white convertible top. Under this hood of this beauty is factory RPO-code 468, numbers matching 283ci 2x4 carbureted V8 offering 270 horsepower to the lucky driver! This comes mated to the fully rebuilt Borg Warner T10 4-speed transmission that received new 2nd and 3rd gears with slider, input bearing, all new synchros, gaskets, and seals completed in November 2015. Options include heater, power windows, auxiliary hardtop, and BF Goodrich Silvertown 4-ply polyester wide whitewall tires measuring 6.70x15! The original AM radio has been replaced by a modern AM/FM/Cassette unit in the stock location. A handful of pictures were included. It traded hands only once to the former Summerfield, Florida owner who purchased in April 1997 and took splendid care of it ever since! The paint survives so remarkably well, one would likely guess it is only days old! It remains super smooth with a high shine and free of any major imperfections making it a strong candidate for showing with utter confidence! The same can be said for the chrome bright work and interior remaining clean and free of any deterioration at all. The entire suspension was fully rebuilt with new springs and shocks, all bushing, ball joints, tie-rod ends, etc. and continues to road the road today as brand new. Engine performance and braking match these same positive attributes! All safety items, all gauges, and all lights are fully functional. It really just needs to be enjoyed confidently!
