Vehicle Description
1969 Pontiac GTO If you were to make a list of iconic muscle cars,
that list certainly couldn't be considered complete before adding
in the classic Pontiac GTO. With their dual open front grills and
pointed front nose, Pontiac created a look that was all their own.
In fact, one Pontiac exec involved in the GTO was John Delorean who
would later go on to add many more important cars to automobile
history. The 1969 GTO is a nicely built car that gets a ton of
attention. It is nicely painted in a Matador Red and is fitted with
all of the original style trim and chrome. This year had the
hideaway headlights which are working properly. The car rides on
the original style wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A
tires. Powering the car is the original numbers matching 400 cubic
inch 350hp motor. A majority of the components are painted the
original Pontiac Blue but it has chrome valve covers on each side.
The motor is backed with an automatic transmission that shifts
smoothly. Power brakes are in place and stop the car with no
issues. The interior of the car is finished out in White Parchment
which matches the convertible top. The upholstery all looks great
except for a tear at the base of the drivers side seat. Dual bucket
seats are up front and both front and rear have seat belts. The
carpeting and dash is complete in Black with the original style
woodgrain trim pieces. The original console runs between the seats
and houses the shifter and a compartment for storage. The dash has
been kept looking all original except for the additional gauge pod
for water, volt and oil. The original AM/FM factory radio has been
modified with an MP3 attachment. The trunk of the car is finished
out as well and houses the spare wheel with original jack set up.
People love the GTO and one cruise around the block in this classic
will quickly confirm that for you. It turns heads wherever it goes.
