Some history....
The Skylark was built to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of Buick. As a limited addition Buick
only produce 1,690 cars & only a few exist today in this condition. Finished in striking White w/Red wheel coves, topped with a Power operated White cloth top.
The interior is finished with Red and White Leather.
The Checker pattern di noc decals are originals.
Many standard features on Skylark were luxuries on other automobiles of the time.
Skylark was powered by the 322 Cubic Inch 188 horsepower "Nailhead" Fireball V-8 Engine.
Twin Turbine Dynaflow Transmission.
Roadmaster 121.5 inch wheelbase chassis.
Standard features included Power Brakes.

The wheel wells of Skylark were painted red to contrast the body and enhance the appearance of the wire wheels.

The Skylark was only planned to be built for one year, but Harley Earl Head of Design for General Motors liked the car so much it was continued.
