Texas Classic Cars is proud to present this grand automobile, the 1941 Lincoln Continental Coupe. These cars were intially borne of a special design of a one-off car for Edsel Ford himself. The public so well-received the car that it went into production shortly after. There were only 850 coupes and 400 convertible/cabriolets produced in the first production year of 1941. This example features a host of recent work performed including the front end aligned, the engine tuned up, the tie rod ends/drag links replaced, the radiator hoses replaced, the charging generator rebuilt, the gas tank removed & lined, a new sending unit & fuel pump installed, the fuel lines cleaned, the carburetor rebuilt and more. Although a lot of recent restoration work has been performed, the car is still in need of further repairs. The original radio is not working, nor is the clock. Also, the overdrive function is not working. The spotlight neesd a bulb replaced. The handle for the front cowl vent needs work as well. The interior has been restored while the dash retains beautiful factory instrumentation and controls throughout. The pushbutton start button still works as well. the 3-speed manual transmission shifts through the gears as it should and the V-12 has a great sound and is torque-responsible.
