1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Australian Troop Carrier Right Hand Drive
This vehicle recently under went a no expenses spared completed frame-off restoration by a FJ40/45 restoration shop. This truck has ~3K miles. Every part on this truck was brand new in 2013. It was built as a dream vehicle with cost being of no concern. The total restoration and parts cost came to $131,000. 1983 is the most desired Land Cruiser model year, commonly called the "Holy Grail" collectability and value estimated to be 25-30% more than any other model year.
GM crate motor fuel injected Ramjet 350, small block chevy with 350 horse power. March pulleys/accessories/power steering/Air Conditioning to a serpentine belt system. AA adaptor kit to original Toyota 4 speed transmission and transfer case. Disc brake front axle, full floater non US rear end with 3.73 gears. 1 1/2 in suspension lift. Warn 8000lb winch on HFS bumper, Man A Fre rear swing out bumper. Custom A/C and heat system Custom exhaust with Flowmaster 50 series muffler with dual exits (not obnoxious, but when you slam the pedal you will hear it). I changed the speedometer to MPH, but the KM speedometer is included. Painless wiring harness, aluminum radiator, electric fan.
Every metal piece was media blasted and painted with the best PPG products. Any rust was cut out and replaced with metal. The colors are Toyota Sandstorm Beige and GM Bright White. This is a base/clear paint wet sanded to perfection. Vast improvement over the crude original single stage paint Toyota did in 83. The top and bottom of the tub, inner fenders, inside of top and lid, under hood, steps are all Raptor lined col matched. This product lays very nice, is not clumpy, provides years of durable protection from heat and wear. The seats all came from Iron Pig, the rear are tuck and tumble. Stainless hardware throughout. Mickey Thompson 31/10.5/15 tires on MT aluminum wheels.
