It all started in 1969 when former GM designer Larry Shinoda penned the design for Ford's new Camaro killer and named it The Boss 302 in honor of the then new President of Ford, Semon "Bunkie" Knudson who had brought Shinoda over from GM when Knudson had left. The rest as they say is history. This 2013 Mustang Boss 302 is every bit as nasty as the original, and it has been said that from a performance and handling standpoint, this iteration may very well be the best Mustang Ford has ever produced. And believe it or not, this one-owner Boss in optional “Gotta Have It” Green has 236 actual miles on the clock! Residing under that legendary striped hood are 444 ponies and 380 lb/ft of torque released from a 5.0L fuel-injected aluminum Coyote mill that literally whinnies right up to a stratospheric 7400 rpms. Harnessing all those horses is a six-speed MT-82 manual transmission and short-throw shifter connected to a 3.73:1 Torsen limited-slip rear end.
