For Sale: 1951 Ford Victoria in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1951 Ford Victoria

In the late 40s and early 50s Ford completely redesigned their line of cars releasing what would be famously known as the Shoebox Ford. This would prove to be an extremely popular model and a big competitor for Chevrolet. With the advent of the Bel Air, Ford again had to make a change. Well in 1951 Ford released their response to the Bel Air in the form of a deluxe Victoria model which is exactly what you see here. Packed with all the luxuries, additional trim, and a different grill these cars were king of their time. Many years later the popularity was still there with these cars becoming arguably one of the most favored among vintage car builders and customizers.

This very cool 51 Vicky is all Black which is the perfect combination with all that chrome. The body was completely restored 3 years ago giving the paint a nice fresh appearance. From front to rear all of the correct Victoria trim is there. Any experience with restorations will tell you these small pieces can be hard to find and very costly so having them all there is a big plus. The car came from the factory with a split style front windshield and all of the glass is in good condition. Rolling down the road the car has a great appearance just as it does sitting still. Under all four corners you will find original style wheels/hubcaps which have recently been wrapped in new wide white wall tires.

Continuing with the nostalgic theme of the car under the hood you will find the rebuilt but original Flathead V8 motor. It along with the 3 speed manual transmission are original to the car and have less than 200 miles since completion. This means the motor is practically new with exception of a few miles to get broken in and address any problems. Topping off the motor is a nice rebuilt carburetor and old school oil bath air cleaner.

The interior of this classic was completed by LeBaron Bonney who are known for their high quality new but stock appearing interiors. There is nothing cooler than opening up a 60 year old car to find it looking fresh like it would have from the factory. The split bench seat is very comfortable and both it and the rear are finished out in a two tone cloth. The dash of the car has just as stock of an appearance with all of the original style knobs, switches, gauges, etc. The original speedometer works properly and is circled by the other gauges which work just as well. In 51 the dashes were greatly improved on by adding a lot more unique trim pieces and lighting to get away from the more subtle plain look found in previous years. The trunk in the car is solid with no rust and has a nice trunk liner in place for protection.

These cars are only getting more popular so you can bet this original, restored one won't last long.

This very cool nostalgic classic could be yours for $27,950.00!
