was unveiled in its purest form at the 1958 Paris Motor Show. It
was a totally new car which was quite an achievement for a highly
regarded but small British manufacturer. It was a new platform,
chassis had disc brakes all round used completely new 3.7 liter
straight six cylinder engine. Its body was styled by Touring of
Milan and thus carried its Superleggera all-aluminum body, a true
masterpiece of British engineering with Italian style. The Series 1
example is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the DB4
range due to its Egg Crate Front Grille, Larger Front Bonnet Scoop
and Straight Rear Cathedral Tail-lights all part of the original
Touring of Milan design. One of only 150 Series one cars
produced and one of 73 original left hand drive cars, extremely
rare and well known to Autosport Designs inc, being serviced and
sold previously. Imported from Europe in 2000 by Autosport Designs
and having covered just 3,000 kilometers since being fully
restored, it was sold to local New York based collector with a
complete interior redone in Tan by Autosport Designs,
Inc. Engine compartment detailed, full service and new
wheels and tires, who subsequently traded to Gelendawagen USA,
Santa Fe, New Mexico. Then old to a CT based individual who traded
it for a new Aston Martin at the time showing 21,307 KM, Purchased
by Autosport Designs and sold to its most recent CT based collector
who kept, maintained and enjoyed this special DB4 for the past 23
years! A very rare opportunity, comes complete with books,
tool roll, factory jack and service history and will be a welcomed
addition to any enthusiasts garage or collection at home as much on
the road or on the show field.
