Known as "Bloodshot," this custom 1970 Chevrolet Camaro is an
award-winning build of an original Z/28. Some of its many accolades
include Ultimate 5 at Pigeon Rod Run, Gold Cup Award at Super Chevy
Show, Streetscene Pick at the Street Rod Nationals, Showcase
Pavilion at Auto Fair, Best Camaro at Chevys in the Smokies,
Builders Choice and Pro Pick at Goodguys. It was also featured in
All Chevy Performance magazine and in the O'Reilly Auto Parts
calendar. Designed and completed by Randy Wilson in 2020, the
craftsmanship is evident. It retains all of its original sheet
metal, with the exception of the Goodmark cowl hood. The backside
of the hood and decklid were filled for a smooth appearance. The
body is extremely straight, and it has excellent panel fitment
throughout. It was refinished in PPG Viper Red with black racing
stripes. This Camaro was outfitted with all-new tinted glass and a
one-off black billet front grille with matching parking lights. The
front end was upgraded with RS-styled chrome split bumpers. Some of
the custom exterior features include Rigid LED headlights, red
marker lights on the fenders, Anvil billet door handles and LED
taillights. It rides on Billet Specialties Turbine polished wheels
that are 18x8 on the front and 20x12 on the rear. Detroit Speed
mini-tubs were installed to accommodate the massive Diamond Back
red-line 335/30R/20 rear tires. The cabin was covered in Second
Skin sound-deadening insulation and set up with American Autowire
wiring. The interior was custom-designed and installed by Trimmer's
Trim Shop. The black leather was decorated with diamond stitching,
red stitching, stainless accents and mesh grilles. Some of the
interior features include Anvil carbon-fiber door sills, AutoMeter
Pro Comp Ultra-Lite gauges, Ididit tilt steering column, Sparc
Industries steering wheel, Ringbrothers black billet sifter, cup
holders, Lokar pedals and a JBL stereo head unit with Polk Audio
speakers. The trunk compartment was upholstered to match the
interior. The hood and the decklid pivot on Ringbrothers black
billet hinges. The attention to detail continues into the engine
compartment. The firewall was covered with Anvil carbon-fiber and a
RainGear wiper motor was installed under the cowl. The fabricated
inner fenders are supported by Eddie Motorsports braces, and the
radiator panel is a one-off. This car is powered by fuel-injected
GM Performance 383ci V-8 (Gen 4) engine that was modified by Foley
Engines. It's fed through a FiTech with Ultra Ram intake and air
cleaner that is run on a Holley Terminator management system. The
engine was dressed with GM center-bolt valve covers, an Edelbrock
water pump and Concept One pulley system. Some other parts include
an MSD ignition system, Wilwood master brake cylinder, billet
reservoirs and braided lines. The engine is cooled by a custom Be
Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine breathes
through Sanderson ceramic-coated headers and a Karnage Performance
2.5-inch stainless dual-exhaust system. The engine is coupled to a
new Tremec TKO-600 five-speed transmission. The transmission was
upgraded with carbon-fiber sliders and is equipped with a RAM
twin-disc hydraulic clutch. The power is transferred with an
aluminum driveshaft to the custom 9-inch Spicer rear end housing by
Sprakers Racing. The rear end was built with a Detroit Truetrac,
Moser 31-spline axles and Moser 3.70 gears. It's equipped with a
Heidts Pro-G subframe with polished control arms, 2-inch drop
spindles, 2-inch sway bar, QA1 adjustable coilover shocks, and
power rack-and-pinion steering. It also features Art Morrison
subframe connectors and four-bar system with Strange coilover
adjustable shocks. The braking system consists of Wilwood
four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. It was
outfitted with a Rick's Tanks stainless fuel tank. From the MS
